Kitchen Cabinet Installation in Ottawa
Kitchen cabinet installation in Ottawa, from complete cabinet runs to partial replacement. Assembly, fitting and alignment scoped to your room and products.
Renovation1.ca assembles and installs IKEA kitchen cabinets in Ottawa, from one or two cabinets to a full kitchen. We also assess additions, replacement sections and partly completed installations across all IKEA kitchen systems, including legacy AKURUM.
Send your kitchen plan or cabinet list, room photos and delivery stage to request an estimate. We review the system, preparation and fitting work before agreeing to the installation scope.
A small installation can involve one new cabinet, a replacement box or a few units added to an existing run. A full installation includes the cabinet layout and the fitting and finishing work agreed for the room. Tell us the cabinet count and which existing units, countertops and appliances will remain.
All IKEA kitchen systems are within our assessment and service scope. This includes SEKTION, legacy AKURUM and other IKEA ranges. The work must still suit the identified products and condition; accepting an enquiry does not establish that any new part fits an older system.
Include any article numbers, order list, cabinet instructions and existing kitchen photos. If the range is unknown, send an inside view and hardware close-ups; you do not need to identify it before asking for work.
For SEKTION, we check the specified cabinet layout, support and fixing arrangement, wall and floor conditions and appliance interfaces against the relevant instructions. Other IKEA systems need their own checks. Current SEKTION components must not be assumed to retrofit an AKURUM kitchen.
Assembly brings together the cabinet components. Installation adds positioning, support, fixing, fitting and alignment in the room. Tell us whether you need both tasks or whether some cabinets have already been assembled.
The plan and product list help establish the cabinets, doors, drawers, hinges, fittings and finishing pieces required. We check what has arrived and what is still missing before agreeing the sequence. The customer and contractor supply responsibilities are stated in the estimate.
Finishing details are part of fitting the selected IKEA system to the actual room. We review fillers and cover panels, toe kicks, exposed ends, handles and the movement of doors and drawers. A run that fits between two walls still needs enough clearance to operate.
Corners, uneven surfaces and appliance openings need review before cutting or securing components. Manufacturer requirements for the selected appliances guide their openings, ventilation and service access. Countertops, appliance connections and room preparation are separate items unless included in the agreed scope.
Send photos of assembled and fixed cabinets, remaining boxes and any known problems. Include the plan, product list and the work already completed. We assess the existing assembly, support, fixings and alignment before confirming how to complete the installation.
Some work may be retained; other parts may need correction or dismantling to be suitable. We do not assume an installed rail, level-looking cabinet or completed drawer proves the underlying work is correct. Missing components, access and concealed conditions can change the remaining scope.
An addition or replacement needs to work with the retained system, dimensions and supports. We check how the new box will meet the countertop, fronts, neighbouring units and toe kicks. Changes to service connections or countertop support are assessed separately.
For older kitchens, the system and proposed components must be established before a replacement is selected. Matching the appearance or finding a discontinued component is not guaranteed. If you only need new doors or drawer fronts on sound boxes, use the front-replacement section of refacing; faults in existing drawers or hinges belong to IKEA repair.
Tell us about old-cabinet removal, wall and floor work, delivery access and the stage of plumbing, electrical and ventilation preparation. Removal, disposal, structural work, countertops and regulated connections are not automatically part of cabinet installation.
Where required, we coordinate appropriate qualified trades and check the applicable approvals. Electrical work hired out in Ontario must be done by a Licensed Electrical Contractor; City building permits and ESA notifications are separate requirements. Cabinet fitting is not a promise to carry out every connection in house.
Share the plan or cabinet list, product/system details if known, cabinet count, appliance specifications and room photos. State whether the order is planned, ordered, partly delivered, delivered or partly installed. Include the Ottawa address or neighbourhood and access constraints.
Assembly status, preparation, fitting details, missing items, corrective work and connected tasks affect the estimate. Measurements or a site visit may be required. We confirm scope and scheduling around the actual job without borrowing IKEA’s package prices, minimums or warranties.
