Kitchen Cabinet Installation and Modification
Cabinet installation and limited fitting changes depend on wall support, room geometry and appliance clearances before the first unit is fixed.
Direct answer
Installation labour depends on the system and cabinet layout, assembly status, site conditions, finishing pieces and the work already completed. Installing a few boxes is different from assembling and finishing a full kitchen or correcting a partly installed one. A plan helps estimate the scope, but its cabinet count alone does not settle the labour.

State whether units are packaged, assembled, hung or partly finished. For an existing system, show its identification and condition. Previously installed work needs an assessment before it can be accepted as a starting point. Already assembled does not necessarily mean ready to install or that correction work is unnecessary.
List doors, drawers, interior fittings, panels, fillers, plinths and handles. Corners, tall units, islands and integrated appliances create different interfaces. Confirm which products are on site and which remain ordered. A quote for cabinet assembly alone cannot be compared with one that includes the complete fitted finish.
Describe walls, floor, accessible support and utility positions. Identify demolition, wall repair, countertop work, electrical, plumbing and ventilation separately, with the appropriate qualified trades. Missing site preparation can interrupt fitting. Clarify who verifies room measurements and the selected products before installation starts.
Ask whether the proposal includes delivery handling, storage, assembly, fitting, finish cuts, waste and follow-up adjustments. Identify missing parts, layout changes and correction of prior work as explicit assumptions or assessed tasks. For a few added cabinets, include the junction with the retained kitchen in the same review.
