Cabinet Door and Drawer Repair
A sagging cabinet door or sticking drawer can have a hardware, fixing or box problem. Identify the cause before replacing parts.
Direct answer
Start by emptying the drawer and noting where it stops: against another front, during travel or in the final closing movement. An obstruction, poor alignment, loose mounting or damaged runner can produce similar symptoms. Do not force it or order slides until the drawer construction and hardware are identified.

| Item | What to know |
|---|---|
| First check | Empty the drawer and look for visible contact or an item behind it. |
| Useful detail | Record whether the problem happens empty, loaded or after removal. |
| Repair scope | One drawer can be assessed without planning a whole kitchen replacement. |
Open only as far as the drawer remains supported. Look for a utensil projecting above the box, an object behind it or a front rubbing the cabinet beside it. Photograph the stopping position. A drawer that closes empty but binds when loaded needs a different assessment from one that always hits the same point.
Show both runners, visible fasteners, drawer corners and the cabinet sides. A loose runner and a distorted box are different repairs. If a runner is detached or the drawer tips, leave it unloaded and stop using it until its support is assessed; repeated closing can enlarge damaged fixing points.
Find a logo, article number or old invoice. Blum, for example, publishes separate instructions for different TANDEM components; there is no adjustment sequence for every kitchen drawer. Use the instructions for the installed model, including its removal and retention method. Avoid bending tracks or adding lubricant without product guidance.
The scope may be removing an obstruction, correcting an appropriate adjustment, repairing a mounting point or replacing compatible hardware. A split box or unsound cabinet side can change that decision. Ask the estimate to separate diagnosis, parts and any box work so a new runner does not conceal an unresolved support problem.

Send an overall photo, both runner sides and the drawer at its stopping point. State how many drawers are affected and whether anything changed just before the problem started.
